So, after taking a little break from rugby (and honestly, I did miss my days with the Rebels/Valkyries!), I decided to jump back into the game this summer. The Georgia Tech Women’s team was already off for summer, so I joined up with the ’20 selects’ – basically, a team made up of players from different clubs who were all looking to play.
And my first tournament with them? The Peach Pitch. We ended up winning the whole thing! Even though I was the youngest player on the team by a good bit, I got a lot of good game time. I had an absolute blast getting back out there. It was a pretty cool way to kick off playing with a women’s team again! It’s been great to be back and enjoying the game.
